If you want to make a photo gallery web page then you should download Thumbelina - a program that will automatically generate web pages containing thumbnails and captions from collections of images. I also have a tanks game for Windows called Aim Game 2.

There are various pieces of software that I use and like, and would like to promote so that other people use them too. I try to use free and open source software wherever possible. All these programs are at least free to download and use.

• Ubuntu - operating system (like Windows, but different).
• Firefox - web browsing.
• Thunderbird - email.
• OpenOffice - documents, spreadsheets, etc. (like Microsoft Office).
• eMule - file sharing.
• 7zip - (un)compressing files.
• MiKTeX - writing structured documents (using LaTeX).
• GhostView - viewing documents made with MiKTeX (PDF etc.)
• Skype - telephone via internet.
• FileZilla - file transfer.
• AVG Free - virus checking.
• GIMP - editing images.
• IrfanView - image viewer.
• Notepad2 - editing text (on Windows).
• Eclipse - integrated development environment for Java, LaTeX and other languages.
• Truecrypt - Encrypting files and whole hard drives.
• VLC - play video and audio. It will convert files too.
• codecs - for playing QuickTime, RealMedia, DivX, and Xvid videos.
• KeePass - stores passwords.
